Apologies for the lack of news recently, we have been so snowed in with work. However here is the news you have been waiting for, the ACE3 Firmware is ready for release!
We will be releasing it on Friday 6th December. In this update you will find the following improvements/fixes:
New Features
- Increase loco storage capacity to over 300
- Increase Accessory Storage capacity
- Add ability to adjust ampage cut off. For smaller layouts you do not want 6 Amps running through a short so this allows you to set the threshold for cut off
- New routing mode, allows for up to 80 named routes to be setup with up to 20 accessories in each. This allows for easy setting and resetting of multiple accessories on one button press

Key Fixes
- Fix a problem when programming DAC22s with one touch programming where no mater which way you threw an accessory it set them all to slow acting outputs and not solonoid
- Fix a handset issue that activated F4 when direction was changed
- Fix an issue where the emergency stop did not always activate
- DCC packet transmission streamlining to current active locos first

Be sure to check back here on Friday to ge your free update. You will need to take note of your ACE3 serial number to make sure you pick the correct download. The reason for this is that the ACE3 has had a different processor used for the latest batch due to availability. It has all the same capability of the first processor used and makes no difference for the actual use of the ACE3. The only difference is which updae you will need to use:
All users whose serial number ends with 0211 and below need the file link called ACE3 1.3 RED
All users whose serial number ends with 0212 and up need the file link called ACE3 1.3 BLUE
Both updates give exactly the same update but are written for the specific processor type and will not work on the wrong one. If you have any doubt when the update is released on Friday please give us a call and we can help you. Alternatively you can always post or bring your ACE3 back to us for the update to be installed
